HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BLOCK B. ♥
April 15, 2011- April 15, 2012. It’s been 365 days since these 7 guys debuted as one in one stage. They were called Block Busters, better known as Block B. It’s been 365 days since I proclaimed myself as one of their fans, BBC, Block Buster Club. It’s been 365 days since I first watched them perform, since I first watched their teaser video, Wanna B, and their first music video, Freeze, since I fell in love with all of them, especially to their leader, Woo Jiho aka Zico. I may not be an avid fan since day 1, I may not be spazzing about them since day 1, but I allot time to watch them, and I spare a little time for me to be updated with them. June came, the boys are coming back with their new song, Tell them. I may not be the first fan who watched the video uploaded in youtube. I may have watched the music video and their performance a little late since the comeback, but still, I fangirled over them… by myself. Months passed and I heard that they will come in my country, Philippines. I really anticipated. Really did anything to be able to see them, but ended up, rejected. September 1 came; fortunately, a friend told me that we can have her friend’s spare tickets for the show. We watched the show, we saw Block B perform, live. During those times, I wished for the world to stop; for everyone to stop, except me. So that I’ll be able to go in front and stare at Jiho with a better angle; much closer than what I’m seeing from my seat. But that can never happen. I went home happily, telling everyone that I was able to see my idols, and my love. J Since that day, I promised to myself that I’ll allot more time for Block B. They became one of my main fandom. I searched about them, further than usual. Pre-debut. Collaborations. Until I came to know about the underground artists that Jiho worked with before. I’ve discovered a lot of better artists than what’s dominant in Korea nowadays. Thank you, Block B for introducing a lot of new things to me. Few more months passed and they’re up for a comeback again. Nanrina. They did well. They came back well. They’ve received lots of love and support from many people. But our support for the boys got tested when an issue came. Some left, but a lot of BBC stayed. Some hate, but A LOT of BBC continued loving, supporting and cheering up for the boys. We may not be visible, comforting and cheering them up beside them, but in our hearts and minds, we are here, and will always be here for our dearest boys, Block B. It’s been 365 days, a year of us, together, through the ups and downs, through happy and sad memories that we’ve shared. 365 HEPHAP days. A year full of swaggerific HepHap-ness. I wish for us to spend many many many more more more years together, as one family. BBC will forever support Block B. Happy Anniversary HepHap namjas. We love you. ♥
